Is this like a chess pie? My mom keeps talking about a lemon chess pie and I have never made one and didn’t really know what it was but this sounds like it might be the same thing.
It's not quite the same. A chess pie is not as custardy- it's quite sweet with an egg/sugar filling- similar to a pecan pie filling. This buttermilk pie is very creamy with a lovely hint of lemon. I hope you try it!
